he way in which I paint is a meditative practice for me. It is an invitation to enter the unknown and trust. Similar to abstract expressionism, it provides an opportunity to witness creation in progress in the absence of control and structure. It is an exploration and attempt of bringing the nondescript and unattainable into form through color and shapes. The paintings capture essence of place, innocence, wonder, the unknown depths of consciousness and sweet serenity. There is no initial plan for the paintings, so it is always a process of unfolding and discovery while being created.
